How to energetically support your baby and newborn.

When my daughter was six weeks old, she began waking up around 6am screaming. Not the typical baby cry when they wake up hungry or need a diaper change, but screaming like something was deeply wrong. I couldn't soothe her. Even nursing, which usually calmed her instantly, didn't work. I couldn't fully wake her up either. It felt like she was caught between states, not quite asleep but not fully present. These episodes continued for weeks, always at the same time each morning. I stayed calm, held her, comforted her as best I could, and slowly she would come back to herself.

The screaming subsided after a few weeks, and I didn't think much about it until she was about 18 months old. Then she started waking up around 2am, not really awake but screaming in a way that was terrifying to witness. We couldn't snap her out of it. We turned on all the lights, spoke to her, even put her in the shower to try to wake her fully. Nothing worked. She was having what many would call night terrors, but I knew intuitively there was something deeper happening.

Understanding the energetic nature of babies

I began researching babies, souls, and the energetic realm. What I discovered is that babies and young children can exist in this realm and out of it simultaneously. They're not completely locked into their physical bodies yet. Their souls are still learning how to fully inhabit the dense, physical experience of being human. For my daughter, she was very active in the astral realm at night. Her spirit would travel, explore, and experience things beyond this physical dimension. The problem was, coming back into her body felt heavy, dense, and difficult. It scared her. Hence the screaming.

Through intuitive guidance, I developed a process of working with her energetically. I would talk to her subconscious while she was drifting off to sleep, using gentle language to help her feel safe returning to her body. Once she was asleep, I continued working on her energetic field, clearing blockages, creating pathways for her to move in and out of her body with ease, and establishing energetic safety so she knew she was protected. I accessed the quantum field, a space where time and physical boundaries don't exist, and worked with her energy there.

Within a few weeks, the night terrors stopped completely. She began sleeping peacefully through the night, her body no longer fighting the return to physical form. This experience awakened something in me. I realized that this intuitive ability to work with energy, particularly with babies and children, was one of my gifts. Later, I studied Future Medicine, an advanced energy healing modality, which deepened my understanding and gave me more tools to support this work. But the foundation was always intuition.

Why energy healing works for babies

Energy healing for babies works because infants and young children are incredibly receptive to energetic shifts. Unlike adults who have layers of conditioning, limiting beliefs, and energetic blocks built up over years, babies are open. Their nervous systems are still forming, their subconscious is highly impressionable, and they haven't yet learned to resist the natural flow of energy. This means they respond quickly to energy work, often showing improvements in sleep, calmness, feeding, and overall wellbeing within days or weeks.

Many people ask if energy healing is safe for newborns. The answer is absolutely yes. Energy work is non-invasive, gentle, and works with the body's natural intelligence. You're not forcing anything. You're simply creating space for the baby's system to regulate, release, and recalibrate. Babies pick up on everything around them. They absorb the emotional states of their caregivers, the energy in the room, and the unspoken tension or peace in their environment. When you learn to work with your baby's energy field, you're giving them the support to process what they're experiencing and return to a state of calm.

Practical techniques for energetic support

There are several ways you can begin energetically supporting your baby. First, regulate your own nervous system. Babies co-regulate with their primary caregiver. If you're anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed, your baby will absorb that energy and mirror it back through fussiness, difficulty sleeping, or being hard to soothe. Before you try to calm your baby, calm yourself. Use breathwork, grounding techniques, or simply place your hand on your heart and take several deep breaths.

Second, speak to your baby's subconscious. Babies are aware and conscious, even from the womb. They may not understand language yet, but they understand intention and energy. As you're putting your baby to sleep, speak to them gently. Tell them they are safe, their body is a safe place to be, and they can rest peacefully. If your baby is experiencing difficulty sleeping or seems distressed, acknowledge what they might be feeling. "I know it's hard to be in your body sometimes. I'm here with you. You're safe."

Creating energetic rituals for sleep

Third, create a consistent energetic ritual around sleep. Babies thrive on routine, not just physical routine but energetic routine. Before bed, spend a few minutes placing your hands gently on your baby's body, one hand on their heart and one on their belly. Close your eyes and visualize their energy field as calm, stable, and protected. Imagine a golden light surrounding them, creating a boundary of safety. This energetic container signals to their nervous system that it's time to rest.

The environment your baby is in also matters. Babies are highly sensitive to the energy of their surroundings. If there's tension, unresolved conflict, or chaotic energy in the home, they will feel it and often express it through crying, difficulty sleeping, or being unable to settle. Creating a peaceful, energetically clear space for your baby supports their nervous system and helps them feel grounded. This doesn't mean your home has to be silent or perfect, but being mindful of the emotional energy present makes a difference.

Working with your baby's energetic field

When working with your baby's energetic field, pay attention to what you're sensing. You might notice areas of their body that feel tense or cold, or you might intuitively know that they're holding stress in a particular area. Trust what you're receiving. Place your hands gently on that area and visualize warm, soothing energy flowing from your hands into their body. You can also work with breath. As you hold your baby, breathe slowly and deeply, imagining that with each exhale, you're sending calm, grounding energy into their system.

Some babies are more energetically sensitive than others. If your baby seems to pick up on everything, gets overstimulated easily, or has difficulty settling, they may benefit from regular energetic clearing. This can be as simple as running your hands a few inches above their body from head to toe, visualizing that you're clearing away any energetic debris or heaviness they've picked up throughout the day. Think of it like energetically bathing them, washing away anything that doesn't belong to them.
