My Self-Concept Shift: From Hustle to Flow and Living My Dream Life
There was a long part of my life when I really deeply believed I had to hustle and grind for every single good thing in my life. More effort. More striving. More proving. More, more, more.
Eventually, I burned out in every way - physically, mentally, spiritually. Of course, who wouldn’t have? And had I achieved everything I wanted? Are all my dreams fulfilled? Absolutely not.
It was time to do something differently, I knew there was something missing, another way to live my life.
Enter self-concept.
This was my ‘another way’ - the deep transformation of my life is down to these two words.
I learned some big lessons along the way, I didn’t have to earn my worthiness, I didn’t have to prove I deserved abundance, I didn’t have to fight and hustle my way there.
So what did I have to do? I had to become the me of my ideal life - the version of me who already believed she was enough.
Approaching manifesting through slowing down went against all I thought I knew. Scared the sh*t out of me to be honest. Doing less? Saying no? Resting? Totally the opposite of what I thought I knew, and the typical path to success. None of these things came easy to me, it was a lot of work to change my thinking and my internal belief systems which were so intrinsically tied to hustle boss bitch culture.
But guess what happened? The more I leaned into slowing the f down, the more I listened and did less the more abundance flowed in.
Yes clients, opportunities and financial freedom - but also creative abundance, alignment, purpose and balance.
I wasn’t being rewarded for working myself into the ground, there was no trophy for hours spent stressing and pushing. I was reflecting the person I had become - embodied, aware and enough.
This shift, from burnout to abundance, is possible for you too.
