The questions you ask shape your life
The quality of your life is often shaped by the quality of the questions you ask yourself.
Most of us are on autopilot, asking:
Why is this happening to me?
What’s wrong with me?
How do I fix this?
But what if you started digger deeper? Going beyond the surface asking:
What do I really want?
What do I need right now?
What would support feel like?
Better questions = better insight = better outcomes.
Why questions matter
Your brain is a problem-solving machine. Ask it a question, and it will go looking for an answer.
If you ask, ‘Why do I always mess things up?’, your mind will find evidence to confirm it.
By adjusting how you ask questions of yourself, you can adjust your whole life (seriously).
If you ask, ‘What is this teaching me?’ or ‘How can I care for myself through this?’ you activate a different part of yourself. The part that’s curious, open, capable of change.
Five empowering questions to start using daily
What am I feeling right now? Feelings are data. When you name them, you can work with them.
What do I need right now? Often we ignore our needs. Asking this can reconnect you to your body’s wisdom.
What am I believing about myself in this moment? Is it true? Or is it an old story?
Is this mine to carry? So many of us take on emotions and expectations that don’t belong to us.
What’s one small shift I can make today? Change doesn’t require a huge overhaul. Small steps lead to big shifts.
